I have supervised three BMedSci students (University of Nottingham and Birmingham University) for projects in 2012, 2013 and 2018. One of these students was awarded a first in both his degree and project thesis as well as being awarded the best paper prize for his work in the British Orthopaedic Research Society Congress in 2013.

University of Nottingham Marketing. Messaged from several friends that I was featured on banners around campus and the University twitter feed with this picture taken at the 2020 graduation ceremony. The big grin accompanies the feeling of immense relief of being awarded a PHd done part time as a later years trainee and early years Consultant (possibly the worst time to do a PHd alongside a busy clinical career).
